Alternative Bring’n’Buy Sale – November 2008

My return to the decks after more that 6 years off came at the Alternative Bring’n’Buy Sale at The Dome in Tufnell Park. It wasn’t a dancefloor-oriented event, so I meant I could really stretch my wings and show that I’m not tied down to any one subgenre. Even then, I only got to touch on some areas of the scene, but I’m quite pleased about how it turned out in the end.

EOL-Era Setlists

Here is an archive of sets that I undertook in what I now call my ‘EOL Era’ in the early 00s. These sets are not representative of what I do today! I’ve got a much wider and more diverse collection now, but I don’t deny my history and thought it’d be interesting to dig these out the archive to see how I’ve progressed.
I haven’t included everything – a couple of the sICk Night In sets I did were only around 3 songs long and hence aren’t really worth saving – I played nothing in them that I haven’t played elsewhere anyway.

Metal Box – 18 October 2002

Have dug this setlist out of the archives, as it was my first attempt at doing a London nightclub, even if it was one of the many short-lived ‘Thursday night at Gossips’ affairs we had in the late 90s and early 00s. Little did I know at the time that it would be my last set for 6 years.

MaxDmyz Support Slot – 11 November 2001

This wasn’t a particulary adventurous set for me, but it did preface a gig that would prove to be one of the most crazy and outrageous experiences I’d ever have at Imperial College. A year and a half after graduation

Sulpher – One Of Us
Ministry – Just One Fix
Nine Inch Nails – Wish
Rammstein – Links 2 3 4
White Zombie – More Human Than Human

Whiplash – 2 June 2001

This was done when I was doing an admin job at UCL (hence I was technically a ‘guest DJ’ from another college). Given 45 minutes to cover ‘everything goth and industrial’ back when my CD collection was a shadow of what it is today…..

Rammstein – Sonne
Fear Factory – What Will Become

Killing Miranda – Teenage Vampire
Project Pitchfork – 2069AD
MaxDmyz – Muthablud
P.A.L. – Gelobnis
Gravity Kills – Guilty

Whiplash – 3 March 2001

A fairly typical setlist from the time….I didn’t have much stylistic range back then.

Depeche Mode – Never Let Me Down
VNV Nation – Joy
Apoptygma Berzerk – Love Never Dies
The Cure – Close To Me
Mesh – Trust You
Nine Inch Nails – Sin
Rammstein – Engel
Fear Factory – Cars
Gravity Kills – Enough
Das Ich – Destillat (VNV Nation Remix)

sICk Night In – 9th October 2000

Early on in the night in a very bright room – at least I could see the equipment this time.

VNV Nation – Joy
Aphex Twin – Come To Daddy
The Prodigy – Breathe
Diary Of Dreams – Chemicals
Nine Inch Nails – Starfuckers Inc.
